How much sleep does a child need?






The amount of sleep needed gradually decreases from infancy to adulthood.
Every child is different but as a general rule of thumb:

STAGE IN LIFE
AMOUNT OF SLEEP (in hours)
Toddlers (including daytime naps)
12-14
Preschoolers (Aged 3-5)
11-12
School-age
10-11
Teenagers
9-10
